Developing cost effective approaches are essential as the United States moves to upgrade its current infrastructure systems. This includes rehabilitation of bridge piers and superstructure systems using polymer composites that are reinforced with glass or carbon fabrics. Statler College researchers have developed novel recycling of polymer composite product systems for infrastructure applications to minimize waste in landfills and energy consumption.
