Green Construction Materials

Use of green construction materials has many benefits including reduced operation, maintenance, and replacement costs, more energy efficiency, improved occupant safety, health and productivity, enhanced environmental friendliness and greater design flexibility. It is one important strategy in the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of our nation’s buildings and civil infrastructures. At Statler College, researchers have been working on green construction materials through innovation in strategies, methods, technologies, and tools for improved performance of constructed facilities and work environments.
