West Virginia’s college educated population lags at 29 percent and Statler College
is striving to improve this scenario. Statler’s K-12 outreach activities include
summer engineering camps and essay contests, the STEM education initiative aims
to reduce shortage of science and math teachers in the state. The Summer Research
Experience trains teachers to use the National Radio Observatory to look for pulsars
