Statler College Graduate Fellows

Christopher Graduate Fellowship

This endowment shall provide funds to create a Graduate Fellowship to benefit currently enrolled graduate students in the WVU Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources. The fellowship will recognize candidates who are advancing research in energy and environmental sciences; nanotechnology and material science; biological, biotechnological, and biomedical sciences; biometrics, security, sensing, forensic sciences, and related identification technologies consistent with the requirements of the WV Research Trust Fund. Currently enrolled graduate students in the WVU Statler College are eligible and must demonstrate good academic standing as defined by WVU and the College. First consideration shall be for a student that intends to work in private industry upon graduation. Recipients shall be determined by the appropriate officials in the College and approved by the Dean. The recipients shall carry the title of the Gary & Lisa Christopher Fellow. The intent of the donors that this gift will qualify for a match with the WV Research Trust Fund.

Deppe Fellowship Award

This endowment shall provide graduate student research fellowships in biological, biotechnological and biomedical sciences at the Statler College. Recipients shall be determined by the appropriate officials in the College with the approval of the Dean. The Donor's expectation is that this gift will qualify for a match in accordance with Senate Bill 287, the West Virginia Research Trust Fund.

Hall Fellowship

This endowment shall provide funds to create a Graduate Fellowship to benefit currently enrolled graduate students in the West Virginia University Statler College. Specifically, this Endowment will advance research in 1) energy and environmental sciences; 2) biological, biotechnological, and biomedical sciences consistent with the requirements of the WV Research Trust fund. Currently enrolled graduate students in the WVU Statler College are eligible and must demonstrate good academic standing as defined by WVU. Recipients shall be determined by appropriate officials in the College. The recipient shall carry the title of the James and Betty Hall Fellow.

Mullenger Fellowship

This endowment shall provide fellowships for qualified students who are advancing research in the WVU Statler College. Specifically, this endowment will advance WVU Research Initiatives approved for WV Research Trust Fund matching gifts. This endowment shall provide graduate student research fellowships to students participating in ongoing research with a faculty member at the Statler College. Recipients shall be determined by the appropriate officials in the College. Funds shall be awarded in the name of the Jack and Marietta Mullenger Fellowship.

Statler Fellowship

The Statler Fellowship is the highest honor given in the Statler College.

Anderson Graduate Fellowship

Recipients shall be currently enrolled graduate students in the West Virginia University Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources and be in good academic standing as defined by WVU. First preference will be given to PhD students who have completed all required coursework and are actively pursuing research toward completion of their PhD degree. The annual Endowment spend will be paid as an annual stipend increase in addition to the stipend paid from an existing Graduate Research Assistantship funded by external grants and/or contracts. Normally, the fellowship stipend will be available to the same recipient for up to three years. Recipients shall be determined by the appropriate officials in the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources in consultation with the WVU Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships. Recipients shall carry the title of the Dianne Dubetz Anderson Fellow.
